Day by day, the composing elements and styles of music has been evolving since either from a time of classics like Wolfgang Mozart and Ludwig Van Beethoven, from an era of pop icons Michael Jackson and Madonna and, rock icons Jimi Hendrix or Jim Morrison. This indents a point that the constant evolution of music never weakens out, or in other words, it would not be an understatement to say that the evolution of musical styles is

  • King Crimson:


King Crimson are a progressive rock band. Formed in London in 1968 (but featuring a transatlantic line-up since 1981), the band are widely recognized as a foundational progressive rock group (although the group members resist the label).The band have incorporated diverse influences and approaches during their five-decade history (including jazz and folk music, classical and experimental music, psychedelic rock, hard rock and heavy metal, new wave, electronica and drum bass) as well as balancing highly structured compositions against abstract improvisational sections and an interest in pop songs. The band has a large following, despite garnering little radio or music video airplay.

Nepalese Progressive Rock/Metal Bands


  • Atomic Bush:
Atomic Bush was a progressive rock/metal band from Kathmandu, Nepal. The band was formed by the members of Breeding Pestilence, Ozzobozo and Elysium. Atomic Bush propelled the scene into a new and interesting frontier of progressive, virtuoso and eclectic rock and registered a win in 'Rock Heads' band competition in 2005. The founding members who were stable throughout the existence of the band, comprised of Bibhusan Basnet (lead guitar/vocal), Sunny Tuladhar(lead guitar), Rajan Shrestha(bass), Abhisek Bhadra(keys) and Alec Sciamma(drums). Though the band lost their existence over a very short period of time, their music with progressive elements are still highly appreciated, and the band is considered to be a pioneer group to aggrandize prog scene in Nepal.
